A new mixed-use development designed by internationally acclaimed London architects Squire & Partners, Triptych Bankside is a luxury architectural destination on the vibrant Southbank, where creativity inspires life.
Comprising two sweeping residential towers of 14 and 18 storeys with 169 residences, an 85,000 sq. ft office building, as well as 29,000 sq. ft of independent retail, wellness and cultural space, Triptych Bankside invites you to be inspired and create the life you desire.
Inspired to be different
Squire & Partners set out to create a bold new mixed-use development with character. Every home has outside space and the undulating curves of the façade create a new architectural narrative against the symmetrical towers that currently comprise the London skyline.
The overall layout of the site has been meticulously planned to positively contribute to the local townscape and sense of place. This creates a seamless integration, with varied spaces to be enjoyed by residents, commercial occupiers and visitors alike.
A set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together.
Triptych Bankside’s unique architecture captures the essence of a gallery, with sculptural and art influences evident throughout the internal and external design across the family of three buildings. The development was named in honour of this distinctive architecture; the undulating curves of these three striking buildings, set serenely against London’s skyline, undeniably reflects three sculptural pieces of art. Additionally, the name pays homage to the developments positioning as neighbour to the world famous Tate Modern gallery; whose collections include triptychs from many highly acclaimed artists including Francis Bacon, David Hockney and Damien Hirst.
Squire & Partners
Squire and Partners is the founding creator for the architectural design of Triptych Bankside. This highly acclaimed architectural firm, has an exemplary design record with experience spanning over four decades. Over this period it has earned an international reputation as a leading architecture practice where design is informed and inspired by the history and culture of where it is placed.
Squire & Partners’ conceptual inspiration for Triptych Bankside derives from its rich historical context, the South Bank’s world-renowned art and culture and the natural landscape of its immediate surroundings.
The development displays a beautifully crafted and innovative architecture reflecting artistic influences via earthy, organic and metallic-material qualities that proudly expresses the rich culture of its context. Gently twisting forms, combined with undulating curved terraces wrapping around the exteriors, affords the buildings a considered sculptural aesthetic.
Triptych is breathing new life into this underutilised site, which enjoys a prime location at the heart of the Southbank.
Beyond the stunning new residences and commercial and cultural spaces, beautiful communal gardens at ground level create a thriving green environment, providing a natural extension of the Bankside Urban Forest initiative. Launched in 2007, the ongoing initiative aims to continually enhance the area by adopting an ecological approach to design – ultimately creating a better place to live, work and visit.
